All cancellations must be made in writing to both the other party (through the website’s messaging and email) and to Cook4me by sending an email to support@cook4me.nl

Cancellation Policy for Clients.

When the client cancels a reservation/order on time they can ask for a refund or a coupon with no expiration date to make a new reservation/order for the following amount:

  • Reservation / orders cancelled up on time before the time of the booking: the total booking value will be refunded.
  • Reservation / orders not cancelled on time during the booked time or day: 50% of the total booking value will be refunded, while the other 50% would be use as a compensation to the ordered chef/cook.
  • Reservation / order cancelled after the booking time or day: No money will be refunded.
  • Refunds may take between 2 to 3 business days to process after the date of cancellation. If you have any questions or want additional information, please contact us at: support@cook4me.nl
Cancellation policy for chefs/cooks

As a Cook4me chef/cook, it is very important to fulfill your commitments with clients who decided to order/book you. We strongly advise against cancelling any reservations previously accepted since they can cause a great inconvenience to the guests, as well as affecting the credibility of our website.

If you have no choice but to cancel a reservation/order, you should be aware that you may incur the following penalties:

  • Your positioning in search results when receiving service requests will be adversely affected.
  • There will be a 20% penalty on the next booking.
  • Your calendar will not be available for the dates of the cancelled reservation/order.
  • You are subject to the expulsion of Cook4me if you cancel more than 2 reservations/order in  a month period.
  • And in any case, please contact the guest as soon as possible to inform them of the cancellation.
What happens if my client cancels the reservation?

If a client cancels a confirmed reservation/order, you will be informed and, as a chef, you will be entitled to receive one of the following compensations:

  • Reservation canceled up to 30 days before the time of booking: The chef is not entitled to compensation.
  • Booking canceled between 7 and 30 days before booking: The chef will be paid 50% of the total amount received.
  • Reservation cancelled in the last 7 days before the service: The chef is entitled to 100% of the amount that was agreed.
Rules guiding the cancellation policy for both chef/cooks and the clients:
  • Orders placed between 0-3 * hours. Cannot be canceled.
  • Orders placed between 3-7 * hours. Can be canceled 2 hours before delivery or start of service.
  • Orders that have been submitted 24 * hours or more over, can be canceled 24 hours in advance.
  • Failure to do so will result in a fine of at least 20% of the service. This fine applies to both parties.
